[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Lead: soon to be replaced in our stained glass windows!” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]As part of its CSR approach, \u00c9nergie des Couleurs has volunteered to test new lead replacement materials in the stained glass industry.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to all those involved in the SUPPLART project: CERFA’s R&D<\/a>, the Halle des Mat\u00e9riaux of the EEIGM<\/a> (University of Lorraine) and with the support of Carnot Ic\u00e9el<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The first trials of this alloy as a replacement for lead look promising. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is my hope that the results of the ageing and weathering tests on these new materials will soon be published. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I’m looking forward to using them in future creations and hope that they will patinate as well as current lead to please contemporary stained glass customers.
