The craftsman / woman

My journey

Before becoming an artisan and creating and restoring stained glass windows, I worked for 28 years in the human resources departments of large service groups (hypermarkets, banks, insurance companies).

My energy and my colourful outfits have left their mark on the various teams that I’ve been in charge of over the years.

Who wouldn’t be drawn to light and the feeling of well-being it brings? Its range of colours improves our lives and our psyche as an anti-stress agent. It brings joy, tranquillity and a sense of well-being.

I tried to understand it. I have studied energetic medicine such as chromotherapy.

My discovery of painters was accompanied by my mother, a painter and painting enthusiast. I was able to learn their techniques for the transcription of light and colour.

I continued to explore all the visual arts, creating jewellery and decorative objects.

Stained glass was already there, thanks to my father, who had decorated the family home with a large number of stained glass windows. He created them following master glassmakers like Bruno Tosi, Sante and Diego Pizzol.

That’s why, today, I’m naturally drawn to a profession that combines colour, light, creation and glass: glass painting.

This fascinating profession, which allows me to create with my own hands, conveys the simple values of artistic craftsmanship: rigour, perfection of gesture, quality and beauty.

It was at the “Journées Européennes des Métiers d’Arts” (The European Crafts Days,) that I had a decisive and timely encounter that allowed me to bring my project to fruition. I met Nolwenn Chassin de Kergommeau in Paris, a master glassmaker of great renown.

After completing an adult vocational training course, I successfully passed the CAP Art et Techniques du verre (Certificate of Professional Competence in Glass Art and Techniques) with the stained glass option, and was able to set up my own workshop.
